COVID-19 RESPONSE PAGE

COVID-19 has presented humanity with the greatest challenge of our generation. It has affected almost every part of our lives and we are all pulling together like never before.

Immediate changes to our operations:

we are open for business as usual.

NHS staff receive UPTO A 20% OFF labour.

prioritising NHS worker's vehicles.

NHS CAMPER CAMPAIGN WITH ROOMS 4 NHS.

Initially in response to the Prime Minister's Instruction to lock down and close all non essential operations nation-wide, in order to slow down the rate of spread and ultimately save lives, Jacks Garage ceased all operations and sent all of our staff home. He likened this situation we now face to a war, with an invisible enemy that we must fight together, as a people united.

We closed for two weeks, until I fully realised that we are an essential support service for key workers and have been instructed by the Prime Minister to remain open.  Many Key workers, especially NHS staff are using their vehicles now more than ever, to get to work.

Since the NHS derestrictions in their Hospital car parks for their NHS staff (the real heros), combined with the temporary closure of many independent garage workshops and Main dealership workshops, there will inevitably be a few situations when some very critical NHS staff cannot make it to the front line, due to mechanical failure of their vehicles. This led me to the conclusion that every single one of us must do our utmost to aid our unsung heroes of the NHS. So here at Jacks Garage, myself (Joseph) and my team will do our very best to serve our front line soldiers.

So these are the changes we have made to our previous operations:

1 - We are remaining open- prioritising as much as possible NHS worker's vehicles.

2 - NHS Staff (with a valid i.d.) will receive unto a 20% discount on our labour rate.

3 - We are working in collaboration with Joseph from Rooms 4 NHS to help house Doctors and Nurses in Campervan kindly            donated by the generous UK public.

We can still MOT your vehicle, however the Government has very generously granted a 6 month extension on one's existing MOT as long as your vehicle is safe to drive, is my vehicle is safe to drive?

Their is also some very useful information on the COVID-19 response pages from the RAC and the AA.

On a final, yet crucially relevant note. There are many NHS members of staff who are aware that they are so critical in the fight to save lives, that they have chosen to live away from their families due to the inherent risk they pose to their most beloved. Yet they are still risking their lives, daily in this fight. Several of these individuals have chosen to live out of a camper-van in their Hospital car parks indefinitely  (due to the NHS car park derestrictions).

Again they do this so they can protect their loved ones, yet still continue the fight.

To this end we are appealing to anyone with a camper to donate their camper vans to these front line Heroes, so they can continue the fight whilst protecting their loved ones.

You can register for a camper or donate your camper on ROOMS4NHS.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IN THE NHS NEEDS ONE OF THESE VEHICLES

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS WILLING TO DONATE THEIR CAMPER-VAN TO AID OUR NHS FRONT LINE HEROES.
